Cast-iron sculptures reached a high level of quality in the first half of the 19th century, with major Czech modellers focusing on this form of art at the time. The subjects for sculptures both monumental and small were often members of the reigning Habsburg dynasty, owners of foundries and their family members, and figures of saints.
